To make things worse I felt terrible because my family was also not healthy and happy. My husband and oldest son had respiratory problems. I felt even worse about the situation. I was supposed to be the wife and mother that kept a decluttered, organized, cleaned, and healthy home. I felt like a failure as a wife and mother.
The problem was that most methods I found online were too complicated. It certainly dit not sparking any joy for me, or it took ages to implement. Most of the time I didn't get the results I wanted. It was not simple, easy, fast enough, or stress-free. It also didn't consider exactly what I needed. Sometimes I just didn't know where to start again and quickly declutter one room. Sometimes I wanted a plan to easily declutter my entire home. Sometimes I was stuck or couldn't let go, didn't get any results, and not enjoying the method I used. Sometimes I didn't have time and needed a quick way to declutter some specific space, like a drawer or my desk. One day I was visiting the doctor for a consultation. He was asking me a series of questions as part of his diagnosis, finding out what is wrong with me. This is when it hit me. I learned that you cannot apply a solution if you don't know what the problem really is. It's like drinking aspirin for anything or everything without knowing what is wrong. 
As a result of this, I started the single biggest research project of my life. I watched thousands of decluttering videos online. I purchased decluttering courses, I bought books. I even started to work with other women as part of my research, based on my new knowledge and insights.

I failed. I practiced again and failed again. I was obsessed with finding the answer on how to help myself and other women. Soon I was starting to see results, but I didn't stop there. I was meeting more women and finding out what their problem is. Then I would be researching more what will match them the best and then advise them on the best approach.

That's when my newfound insight proved true. I realized that the secret to decluttering is to understand the problem and then find a solution. It is not about finding a solution to try and fit in with our problem. This is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Yes, it may be possible at times, if you force it. It can also work if you are really motivated or get yourself worked up. In the end you will always struggle with it because it does not consider your current problem.

Suddenly, I was winning the battle against the clutter!....But there was still a problem.

Each woman I worked with needed a specific approach best suited for them. The methods I found that matched each women's requirements also produced limited results. It took them very long to do and some of the methods were just downright complicated and stressed them out more.
I ended up getting so frustrated that I decided to create a system.
